Elements of Nature Sculpture

Air - Water - Fire - Earth 
These four elements, sit on a shelf that will be mounted to a wall. 

Air is blowing bubbles - a glass prisim represents the bubble 
Water is sitting serenely with her flowing hair 
Fire is ready for anything
Earth is pondering 

I love depicting the Elements as a sisterhood.
Intertwined, dependent on each other, yet completely independent. 


This is the secret project I was working on before Christmas ....strangely (frustratingly enough) it is still supposed to remain a secret. SOMEDAY, I will be able to share the story behind these girls.  
I love their little faces - every time I look at them I wonder where they came from.

I know I made them,
I remember squishing the materials and applying the concrete....
BUT they are all just so 'themselves' the process is always a mystery to me. 
I remember starting projects and am aware of the basic tasks, but ...still a mystery.
