About

About Me:
Hello! I am Shannon from Shannon Marie Makes. Upcycling found material comes naturally to me. It really is my special form of magic. I love taking broken, forgotten or soon to be discarded items and breathe new life into them. Everything from my little robot sculptures and collages to my larger than life public art dolls were created from the most basic of materials.
I am a full-time artist, an obsessive maker who loves to redeem rusty garage hardware, scraps of wood, old textiles, papers, and discards. I used to source my material from thrift shops and flea markets, but now, people seek me out to offer their wonderful discards! With the proper care, I really believe the beauty can be pulled from the broken and I love the challenge a new box from a garage clean out creates.
About My Products:
My pieces are all one of kind and created with love! They make great gifts for those hard to buy for individuals in your life who value their own uniqueness. Everything I make has an element of whimsy to it. I aim to make things that allow adults to remember the kid in themselves and find the wonder in life again. Thanks for visiting my page!
